Ink and Engagement Ring

so after inspecting my ring tonight because I do that from time to time.. I realize that I have the tiniest little bit of ink on the top of my the large stone.. it's a really tiny stain...but the jeweler in the city that FH went to always said HAVE IT STEAM CLEANED By Us.. don't use anything else on your diamonds...
We are going in to buy our wedding bands on September 27th.. but im soooooo sad about this lil stain.. no one can see it.. but i can lol lol lol

HAPPEN To ANYONE ELSE?

Have it steam cleaned anywhere, almost all place can do it right in front of you its just a spray of steam, they run it under and give to you.

Alcohol should be safe on any non corrosive metal. I don't know what else your ring metal might be mixed with.
