InkSpun is a scam!

I don't even care if this gets pulled! I have never been burned by any vendor until now....NEVER GOT THE PLACE CARDS! Called almost 30x today left 3 messages...not one call back!

AND I tried calling around 5...and its a completely different message!

Girls do NOT get place cards from them!

OMG - I am so sorry, I know you definitely don't need this stress just a few days before your wedding. I think I wrote this in one of your posts last night, but I got the ivory placecards from Michaels that come on the 8x11 sheet and printed them on the computer, it really didn't take that long and with a fancy font they look professional. I love how they turned out, and they really were not hard to do at all. HTH - Good luck!

Re: InkSpun is a scam!

I had problems with him also
. i sent him extra envelopes like he requested 'if he makes a mistake' well he made one to many
that he called me and told me i needed to send him 30 extra envelope. ok i sent them and thank goodness the lady that did my invites called the place she ordered them from the day she got them and told them that they were short 50 so i had the extra i didnt mind .

well i get them back
names mis-spelled
address were wrong
address were not lined in the middle like they were supposed to be it was more to the side
and he duplicated names(he did my aunts envelope 4 times) and not just one name it was a few . which meant that i was missing names and addresses because he duplicated so many .
so we had to print them on the computer ourselves. which we should have done from the begining because ours looked so much better .

so i called and explianed i got in touch with him told him that i was missing names and everything i mentioned above and he said he was going to refund me . a week goes by no check . i called him at least and im not kidding 10 times for my money back . finally dh called and the next day we had the check i guess he over nighted it lol

some people had great exp with him
me on the other hand not so great

Sorry you have to deal with this. But it is good information for us future brides. You shouldnt be afraid to state your 'horrible' experience.
Hopefully, everything will work out for you.

We bought the DIY ones and they came out perfect - only took about an hour or so!
I'm sorry Kathleen, that stinks!

i don't think they are as great as everyone says they are. a name was misspelled on the inner envelope. name was BRIAN and he spelled it BRAIN. who wouldn't catch that? and when i called to have it re-done, i was told ok no problem and a week later, nothing. called again, ok we'll do it right now, it fell through the cracks. a week later, nothing. so i called and told them to send me backk my extra invites.

sorry that sux.

if it makes you feel any better... i truly never notice if a place card is typed or hand written. i am always more concerned of where i am sitting and who i am sitting with your wedding is going to be perfect. try not to let it get you down.

Re: InkSpun is a scam!

Kathleen,

I'm so sorry this happened to you. But now for damage control. I LOVED how my DIY placecards came out, so if you want to get some done fast, here is what I did:

In Staples are 48 count packs of placecard sheets that can go in the printer. On the back of the package is a website and you can download a word template to put in your guests' names and the table number or name. There are a ton of alternative fonts that look so nice for weddings and I think I can email you some if you need (I think I can find them on my computer). Just fill in the template, and print.

If you want a little extra flair, Michael's has ribbon rosebuds that you can glue gun on the corner of each card. It was SO easy! It should just take a few hours.

Let me know if you want some fonts

I just also want to say if you're feeling really overwhelmed, you can easily delegate this job to someone else while you do other things. Just give them the seating list, and they can type it up and print it for you. to you! If I lived closer (even in the state) I would help you out with them!

That stinks Kathleen. I'm sorry that happened to you.

Let your hall know what happened and that you need more time to drop off your cards. Honestly, I bet you can drop them off the day before and be fine. Try not to stress.

Re: InkSpun is a scam!

Don't stress - If you give them the list/table assignments at your final meeting, you can probably drop off other place cards later in the week. I used the ones from the hall, and some of the DIY at Michaels and Staples are nice.

I know you probalby wanted them to be special, but it is a small bump in the road, if you end up having to write them out by hand

Ugh. I guess I need to find a new place to get my envelopes printed. Any ideas? So sorry Kathleen!!! If there is anything I can do, please let me know.

Re: InkSpun is a scam!

Sorry to hear that!

I had odd sized place cards that I really wanted to use. The paper was super thick. My calligrapher tried to do them for me but they kept jamming her printer and she had to give up. So, we did the clear labels. She was nice enough to show us how to set the computer up to do them in the custom color that she would have used. Sure, they would have looked better if it was on the cards, but they still looked really good and we saved $$.

At this point think you should try the clear labels.

I did also use my calligrapher for other things and she did a great job. I don't think she does rush jobs, but one thing I can say is that if she cannot do it, she will tell you right away. No BS. She had told us from the beginning that our placecards may be a problem. I used All-type, who is now an LIW vendor. My friend (a non LIW bride) just used her also.
