Inn at NHP Brides

Hello ladies!! How do you feel about uplighting in the ballroom? I'm trying to decide if it is something we want/need. Its such a beautiful room - I don't know if it would detract from that, but I love the look in pictures, etc. Any advice?

i think we are going to splurge on it. i don't think it NEEDS it, but my FH doesn't like super dark ballrooms, and in some pictures the ballroom looks a little dark.

i rather have the lights dim, with lots of candle light and uplighting compared to the 'house lights' a little brighter, if that makes sense...

I am leaning toward it as well - I don't remember the ballroom being dark, its just so elegant, I want it to stay that way!! Are you doing it through your dj - who are you using?

If anyone has any pics of the room with uplighting I'd be forever grateful!!

Can either of you ladies give me an idea what the cost is through the florist? Lighting companies have given me a quote of almost $1700 whereas djs range from $600-1000. TIA!

. . . still searching the internet for a picture of the room with lighting - I am determined to find something.

I am doing the uplighting through my florist- flower Michele. I have seen the uplighting in the ballroom once. I was eatting at the restaurant on a saturday night and there was a wedding going on so i snuck in the back! lol The room had cherry blossoms with dark pink uplighting and it looked amazing!!!!!
