Inn at NHP Brides- Chair Covers?

Hi ladies..I'm reposting from the 08 board because I see a lot of '09 Inn at New Hyde Park brides and wanted to know if they ever mentioned to you anything about chair covers? I'm working with Linda and when I booked she said they would have sheer covers not to really hide the new chairs but it's not on my contract and I haven't seen them at any of the showcases? If anyone knows, can you let me know? Thanks!!

Hi, I'm an '09 crasher...

I am getting married at the INN at NHP too and chair covers are included, however, they recommed a place to get chair covers on their website, along with their other vendors they work with.

Thank you! I know 'The Finishing Touch' is one of their vendors I just wasn't sure if this is something that's automatically included or it should have been on my contract? Is it on yours?

im not sure about the chair covers. we are workign with linda also and I know she mentioned chair covers being included in the cocktail room ( the old room) but I thought she said they werent in teh new ballroom. I would call her up to be sure

Hey - I asked this question. I am working with Linda. They provide chair covers for the cocktail room but use new hairs which are not covered in the main dining room so chair covers are not included for that. Hope this helps!

one of the MANY things that I was particular about were the chairs ... honestly I think they are really nice and match the room very nicely.... a pretty bow around the bck would add an extra touch but its totally not necessary. as far as covering the whole chairs, I actually think it might take away from the room.... just my opinion

When we were looking at places we went & met with Linda & she said covers were avail. I totally remember that. But the new chairs are so very pretty on their own

she told us that she doesnt want us to cover the chairs cuz they r proud of their chairs....i think u can pay for seat covers from an outside vendor that they use if u really want to

thanks for the replies ladies...i don't want to cover up the chairs with a white cover as i think they are very nice too...i just remember her mentioning a sheer cover that wouldn't hide the chair...guess that isn't the case any more...also, does anyone have any info on the extras you can add into your package as i was never told of any that existed but every time i go to a showcase it looks like they add more stuff?? e.g. chocolate fountain, ice sculpture, seafood boat, ice cream bar, cotton candy

I agree, I like the chairs and I'm also leaving them as is..

I am dealing with Frank, and he didnt mentioned anything about that.

One other question, do you guys have to pay extra for the bed and breakfast?

I am paying for the viennse hour, so I know that all of the desserts are included. The seafood boat is extra, which were are not getting. Hope that helps!

I wasn't supposed to be paying for the bed and breakfast but I don't even know if it's going to be finished by my wedding...I didn't even know there was a venetian hour option...how much is the seafood boat if you don't mind me asking?

I have a whole list of extras that linda gave me. the bed and breakfast is free its included in our contract. there are alot of extras so let me know what you want ...
the seafood boat with shrip clams and oysters is 15 pp if you want to add 1lb lobsters its 20pp...
they also have
just a shrimp display for 8 pp
clam and oyster bar for 6 pp
hot mediterranean seafood bar for 12 pp

That sounds about the same quote as I got for the seafood. However, I was not aware that indivdual seafood dishes at cocktail hour were options. Thanks, I may have to call Frank ask ask him about that.

wow thanks i had no idea this even existed...i guess maybe it wasn't finished when i booked back in '07? i don't see why else i wouldn't have gotten it?? can you send me all the extras if it's not too much to ask?? you can FM me if you don't want to post it...i would really appreciate it!

I don't think they mean individual cocktail dishes, I think it's just a station where you could have everything included or scale it down to just clams and oysters...
