I know there was another thread on this, but does anyone know about lighting at the Inn at New Hyde Park? I am having a day wedding so I wasn't planning on doing anything extra, but now I'm not sure. I have a final meeting with my DJ tonight and I am wondering if it's worth a little extra $ if I should get a basic package just so we have something. I am not a fan of strobe lights or anything like that, just not my thing.
Thoughts?

Do u have the big ballroom there? My cousin was married there last July.. I believe she got uplighting thrown in with her florist .. Flower Michelle...for a great price.. not sure how much it would be on its own but its worth a shot.. the room is realllyyy bright so although it wa pretty on the walls.. definitely not a necessity

In my opinion if the wedding is during the day you would be wasting your money on lighting. Spend more money on food or soemthing for your guests on the way out. Lighting I feel is soooo insignificant especially during the day. Yayyyy sooooooooooo soon! Janine had her baby 2 days ago. Carter Michael wahooooo hahaha

I heard the Inn @ NHP offers their own uplighting and its much cheaper than buying it froma DJ , you should ask your BM! But I also heard they dont offer as much as you would get froma DJ, but that might just be perfect for you .. look into it! HTH

Ooh that is so exciting that she had the baby!! I love that name too, hopefully she will be back for both our weddings! lol I think she will, she said she lives around the block and is ALWAYS there haha. I decided against the uplighting because it is a day wedding, don't really want to spend the $ thanks ladies! :)
