Inner Envelope Question

My invitation girl gave me 2 options on how to print the inner envelopes, either:

Mr. and Mrs. Makros
or
George and Mary Makros

I am not sure which it should be done. How is everyone doing theirs?

to me that answer is based on the formal level of your wedding...

are you going black tie and fancy schmancy? Then - Mr. & Mrs....

if you are doing anything less - going with their first names is nice.

personally - we did people's nicknames(if we had them)... The example i always use is my dad's friend is Mr. Lomuscio...but i've ALWAYS known his as Nick The Moose....so his outer envelope said, Mr. & Mrs. Lomuscio and the inner said, Nick & Deb The Moose....

Haha that is really cute! We aren't going formal formal but it has taken a more formal turn than I had expected. The invites I think are more formal than I had originally thought too. But we aren't having a black tie wedding. Humm so than it is preference?

Re: Inner Envelope Question

i think the way the society is now with anything, there are no longer steadfast rules for most things!

try to think of it this way.....how would you want to receive it? If you were on the receiving end of the invite - would you prefer to see Mr. & Mrs....or Bob & Jill?

totally your call!
