Inner Envelopes

When doing the inner envelopes should it be

Uncle John and Aunt Jane

or is it

John and Jane or John & Jane ???????????

Also if it is a friend would it just be John and Jane-- Versit says it would still be Mr. & Mrs. John Smith and that seems so formal??

Please help!

Re: Inner Envelopes

How formal is your wedding? I think you could put John and Jane OR John and Jane Smith if it is not too formal an affair for friends or Aunt Jane and Uncle John. Otherwise, the inner envelope should say Mr. and Mrs. Smith while the outer envelope says Mr. and Mrs. John Smith.

Re: Inner Envelopes

I just finished my inner envelopes and it depended on the situation. I really do not think there is one right way. If I was close with the people, like aunt and uncle, I wrote down Uncle Jack and Aunt Rose. If I knew the people as Mr. and Mrs. I went with the formal names. I thought it was nice to include the informal to those people who really know.
