I want to start collecting S'mores ornaments! They crack me up!!

I’m kind of late to this topic but…

We don’t collect ornaments as much as get an ornament each year that sorta symbolizes the year.

2000 We started this silly tradition from the very first year we started dating. Got a picture of us standing by this little tree with a Marvin the Martian ornament. I got Marvin stuff galore that year from Jim and others.

2001 we got a Veggie Tales ornament. We had just been introduced to the wacky odd ball animation videos just prior to 9/11. It was of their songs I was singing to myself when I walked up the stairs that morning. Of all things “God is bigger than the boogie man” Lines included .. he’s bigger than Godzilla or the Monsters on TV. For us, on Christmas it seemed appropriate.

2002 It was two mice who were bakers and had a cookie cutter. I spent that whole year baking goodies. Cakes, pies, brownies. The goods went to my office, his office or our tummies. Pineapple cupcakes with a chuck of pineapple at the bottom, double fudge brownies with dark chocolate and white chocolate, etc. I was home a lot recovering from my injuries. My surgery was New Year’s Eve.

2003 Last year we got a silver ornament from “Things Remembered” with a snowmen couple dancing. It had 3 crystals in it.. We figured those three represented the three diamonds in my engagement ring, so we engraved it, Engaged 6/28/2003.

2004 ??? Probably one of those “our first xmas” even though it’s actually our second! Hehehe

It’s great though, we look at the ornaments from years past and they have stories.
