Has anyone done it recently? How much should we expect to spend? I know that pool maintenance can be pretty costly and a bit of a headache. Could you please share your experiences and associated costs?

not sure of the cost for installing as it depends on many factors (size, shape, material, land grade). i LOVE gunite, but they are VERY expensive. i would think that a standard shaped vinyl would be about 15k+. call around to get some rough estimates.

I think for 15K you can get a 16x32 or a 18x36. But i don't think that will include brick or stone surrounding. I believe that is all extra.

My parents put in a pool about 17 years ago...it was $12k. It was a huge pool though...
