Well, after moving in to our new (very old) house on Saturday we have realized that we should do the windows right away. We hadn't planned on it, but they are in really bad shape and it would just be more economical on utilities.
Lowes have the Pella windows we need in stock at a great price and we are thinking of buying them and having someone install them for us instead of going to a window replacement company.
Does anyone know someone they can recommend that can do handyman jobs, but windows in particular?

DH and I are not especially handy, but we just bought new windows at Lowes and are replacing them ourselves. It's surprisingly easy - there are some web sites that give detailed instructions.
Just a thought.
