Instead of a cake ceremony

what else can I do? I hate cake and I don't think I can actually take a bite.. What else do you think I can do?

We were thinking maybe having the BM and MOH stand next to us then turn and rub a tad in their face lol But I duno.

what about cupcakes? or your fav dessert? you could change it to what you like. it doesnt have to be a traditional cake. HTH

or something sweet to symbolize sweetness in marriage - could be anything from fruit dipped in chocolate or honey. Do you hate sweets in general?

Oh thats true.. Maybe have them on the side of the cake so I can eat those instead? lol I don't know how to play things out haha

No just cake.. Especially fondont (sp?) its too sugary and doughy.. lolol Everyone makes fun of me because I never eat my own birthday cake lol

dipped fruit,ice cream sundaes,cupcakes..i think u should do any food u like,i mean if u want to do the ceremony ..if not then just skip it....or if the rh is giving u the cake u could feed fh and then pause and say hold on and get a stand in to eat yours...could be funny...in my twisted mind

That would be funny... LOL Our whole wedding is so far fro serious so I think that would work lol

I do hate fondant too! I would just have something next to the cake, or even incorporate it as your topper or something, and just share that. . and if your FH likes cake, you can feed him the cake, and he can feed you the choclate strawberry or whatever off the top of it

ooh well how about something salty and sweet - like chocolate covered pretzels - or I even had chocolate covered potato chips once - disgusting but oddly amazing

I'm just like you..I hate sweets but I could eat a whole bag of potatoe chips!!! yummy!!! lol

Why not play that out since it's unique to your personality. You could have a big bowl of your favorite potatoe chip (or your favorite snack food) next to the cake. You guys can still do the whole cutting of the cake. But you'll feed him cake and he could feed you whatever your fav. food is. Just a thought...

I saw an article featuring a couple in a bridal magazine...and they didn't want a wedding cake. So instead, they had a three tier cake stand with their favourite cheeses on it !
I thought it was a good idea as an alternative

he still wants a cake.. i just can't eat it lolol.. I wish he'd just skip the ceremony for it though.. i'd rather dance more then cut a cake..lol
