the normal gifts, I was thinking about requesting wine. I just heard of my friends sister doing this, sounds so cool! Anyone know of other ideas brides are using?

This is what I asked my MOH to do. I have so many of those chochkies from when I had my apartment and they're in really good condition.

another cool thing my mom is doing is asking for recipe cards and she is making me a recipe index with recipes from family and friends

great idea. i would love wine! hehe my friends also did a lingerie wishing well or a honeymoon wishing well (guest brought suntan lotion, towels etc). but i like the wine idea the best haha.

That's always a great idea. There is a book you can get that has cards you can remove and send to guests with their invites.

That's always a great idea. There is a book you can get that has cards you can remove and send to guests with their invites.

I also heard of telling each guest to bring a tool corresponding to the letter of the alphabet. It's for your FH.
Like, I get the shower invitation and I'm asked to bring a tool starting with the letter S for the wishing well. So I'd bring a screwdriver... I told my MOH about that...

ive heard of doing a lingerie line instead of a wishing well, and everyone hangs up the lingerie on a clothesline in the room where the shower is!

you can also do a baking theme. Have people bring things to bake with. Like cupcake papers or cookie cutters.
or even stuff to bring on there honeymooon. Like disposable under water camers, sun block, travel size soaps. things like that.
