Instead of flowers..

I'm not really into the flower thing....maybe a scattering here and there, but they're just so...normal..and expected. What do you all think of this instead?

I have thought about that also...I just seem to gravitate toward these ceiling decorations...I feel like they give a whimsical, romantic vibe...

Interesting idea! You can do alot of different things instead of flowers. I love ceiling decorations.

Yes you can do candles, tree branch centerpieces, or other items according to a theme.

I am the same way, totally not a flower person.

I am actually planning on buying old looking lanterns, and putting a candle in them, and either putting three of different sizes on each table, or one big one and a few flowers on the side, heres a picture of what I want...and they have lanterns at Ikea

I am doing floating candles on every table filled with jewels and colored floating candles. I got the candle holders at BBB and they are BEAUTIFUL. I will have our DJ raffle them off to give to guests.

There will be the full set on the table. So three per table then four or five votive candles spread across. I didn't want to spend an arm and leg on flowers and this was exactly what I always wanted to do: Here is my breakdown:

Flowers: Bridal bouquet, 5 bridesmaids bouquets, 9 bout for the groomesmen, dads and ring b. 3 corsages, $250

My centerpieces came to about $400. That includes the actual candle holders, floating candles, jeweles, and votive candles. I used coupons galore so it might have been even less than $400.

My original costs of flowers was about $1500. I saved a lot by doing this.

And our church fee includes the decorations inside the church so that worked out well for us too.
