Instead of gifts..

What would be a proper way to write on an invitation requesting checks payable to an organization instead of bringing a gift? Please suggest! Thanks!

I think something along the lines of we request that no gifts be given, instead we request that you make a charitable contribution to XYZ organization. I know it can be worded much better, but something along those lines. Did you try the website eversit.com?? they tell you how to write everything

Perhaps on a separate card (not on the invitation itself), you can simply state 'In lieu of gifts, the bride and groom respectfully request contributions to the ... charity...

Or if you don't want to write anything at all, you can just take all the monetary gifts you receive and donate them in one lump sum...because wording it may be awkward.

I think that is such a nice idea though! Good luck with it...
