Instead of Throwing Rose Petals.....

Instead of Throwing Rose Petals.....

I always wanted to throw rose petals instead of bird see or rice when we are leaving the church. I just found out the church will not allow us throw anything except bird seed (which I dont want). Any ideas on what can be handed out to guests, I thought about bubbles, do they ruin clothes though if it gets on you?

We used bubbles and had no problems with them ruining clothes (atleast none that I noticed.no one said anything about it either). And they look awesome in pics!

I'm doing ribbon wands. Will be making themself. I think they look cool when guests are waving them in pics.

We used bubbles also and had no problems. I have also seen ribbon wands, balloon releases, sparklers, and that eco-friendly confetti...

Bubbles may not be a good idea depending on the fabric of your dress and your BM dresses. FH's aunt had those little bells and everyone rang them...i thought that was cute.

someone i know is using bells since nothing can be thrown at the church they are handing everyone bells to ring when they walk out.

also, streamers can be purchased or wedding wands for guests to wave

I remember correctly your getting married at St Rose right?? I think we cant even have bubbles from what the paperwork in the wedding folder they give us said. It stinks we cant have bubbles, but just to double check and ask....
I did see a bride from st.rose actually throw rose petals and things and no one said anything to her from what i know...

I didnt see anything in the paperwork about bubbles just anything that has to be cleaned up. I dont know if I want to go against the church on my wedding day, I'm afraid of the bad karma...LOL

Even the 'nonstaining' bubbles can stain taffeta -- and dark colored BM dresses. (Heck, plain water can leave a mark on taffeta!)

MIL would not allow us to use bubbles she was sure they would stain the dresses.
We were scheduled to do a butterfly release until 10 days before the wedding when they told us it was going to be too cold. We ended up doing bird seed because it was the only thing we could get our hands on so quickly.
