Insurance...

i still have not insured my engagement ring where should we go?

I got mine throught Jeweler's Mutual.....they have a website but I dont remember what it was!!

I think their prices are reasonable!

don't feel bad. i didn't ensure my band yet and its been 6 months,
DH thinks i did. and he'll KILL me [jk lol] if he finds out i didnt ensure it!

i honestly dont remember where i went. I THINK, AFTER I got it appraised, my dad put it under his equity, or something like homeowners insurance, which saved me ALOT of $!

do you rent an apt that is insured? Or maybe your parents have an insurance policy you can add it on to until you have renters insurance?

I have a personal articles policy through my car insurance company - State Farm.

I called State Farm in Bayport (I have my car insurance through them). Their info. is:

Steve Klinzing, SF Agent
631-363-2468

They gave me a quote of $63 per year for a ring that was worth $5,000 (with no deductible) and it would be a seperate policy from my car ins. I just had mine appraised and it was worth more but I cant imagine the policy price raising significantly. I would recommend calling them if they are in your area or maybe they could recommend an agent that is.

Me too, we have a personal articles policy on top of our renters... I haven't done the wedding ring yet!

I'm sure you can. I liked them because with their policy if anything happens to my ring I can go to my own jeweler and pick out my ring because they will give me the cash value. A lot of other places I looked would give you what they considered to be a 'replacement value' or something.

Knock wood that none of us have to worry about this!

i went with state farm- they also do my car insurance & our renter's insurance. never had a problem with them. didn't cost much for an add on policy for the ring!
