I think you mean like wedding insurance if something goes wrong - like your hall burns down - or a blizzard come in and you have to reschedule right?

We are thinking about doing this- I mean what is another 200-500 when you are spending 20K and up on a wedding. I know it doesn't cover everything - but what if your vendor goes out of business - then the insurance will pay to rebook another vendor.

Then again we often take travel insurance for many years - but we actually needed it twice - so I think it is a good idea - depending on WHAT it covers

Check out wedsafe

Etd to say Pschia - that is different that is general liability insurance - which will do you no good if your hall burns down, or your vendor looses your film or cancels on you at the last minute and you are out your deposit.

It only covers things like accidents - say someone breaks their leg on the electical cords from the band or the gets injured by the photography equiptment

Which one of the two were you asking about the first wedsafe or the second- the one that the vendors and your hall usually have (you should ask them - but every vendor we saw has insurance and usually it is only if you are renting a tent and caterer that you might need that type.

As far as wedsafe. I have no idea how many people get it - I would say not as many as should. But then again millions travel without travel insurance. It is really what you feel comfortable with. My feeling is that if I am spending all that money I would shoot myself if I didn't get it and something happened that could have been prevented by having it. Do you have to get it NO. Should you - that is simply what you are comfortable with. I have no idea how far in advance. I sent the info to my dad to look at - since he wanted to look into getting it. So I'm not sure how soon - I would not wait until the last minute though b/c it covers some things like lost deposits if vendor disappears. Mind you it does NOT cover CHANGE OF HEART.
