if the couple are not both catholic, both of different religions. FH is catholic and I am not, but we're getting married in a catholic church...if this is the case we have to do inter-faith pre-cana

what if you're not getting married in a church? i know the process seems annoying but i think it might be nice. fh is catholic and i'm jewish.

if you're not getting married in a church then its not required, we have to do it. Not sure about being able to do it without getting married in a church...im gonna guess it won't be easy considering they'll probaby bother you about not getting married in the church...I don't know, im not catholic so not 100% sure

It's long, but bearable. A couple of the speakers make it fun and I think some of the things they make you talk about are really important and worthwhile for your relationship. It might be rough on someone who is a little private or closed, but if you have good communication skills already, it will be fine.

you can always call up your local church to find out, i mean it never hurts to try i guess...but they have these type of groups for couples, more like weekend retreats to really connect again, not sure what they're called though sorry.

But dancing and cooking classes sound AWESOME!!!

we're catholic and are required to do the pre-cana as well (we'll start in September)

here's the website for archdiocese of NY www.flrl.org - you can read more info about the courses and even ask them if you can take them even if you're not getting married at a catholic church

hope that helps!
