Definately interesting...a few of those things i didnt realize were 'bad etiquite' (spelling?)
Like if you invite someone with a guest? I didnt know that...especially if they are single?
I definately agree with the lag time between ceremony and reception...i have a 2 hour break..and i feel bad abou that! I've gone to weddings where it has been 3 hours!

this is a great site!
the first thing happened to me! a good friend of my FH from college (I went there too) is getting married and we are all friends and FH is in the wedding party, but they addressed our invite as 'Mr. Matthew X and guest' I was soo pissed! FH asked them and they were like that is what etiquette says if you're not married. I wanted to scream!!! We are all friends- so if that was the case, I should have received my own invitation. People just don't get it sometimes

the same thing happened to me.. fh's friend got married last year and put 'and guest'.. i've known the guy longer than i knew fh! granted i wouldnt have been invited myself if fh and i weren't together.. but still, he's known me for years and couldn't put my name on the invite, lol.

Those are some great common complaints! I had never heard of the dollar dance before... apologize to anyone in advance whose doing it, but that seems like an extremely cheap way to try to make some $$ back
