The author made so many good points I couldn't pick them all out without cutting and pasting the entire article...but this part made me laugh.

I know - I felt the same way. And that too, was one of my favorite parts!

OMG...I never thought I would agree with Al Sharpton...but he made some really good points in the democratic nominee debate last night...

I am so glad that the candidates going after Bush have their heads on their shoulders...

I guess things like these just make me shake my head. What is really happening to our society. I think we are now of a mindset that its a free for all and everything goes.

PS never believe that I would agree with something that Bush said, I guess there is a first for everything.

I used to be very firm and think marriage is just between a man and a woman. But after thinking about it some more- and having a lot more gay friends, I've realized that it's all about fear- fear of changing the status quo.

what's it to us if gay people get married? why do they have to be denied? It doesn't make any sense because it isn't affect you are me in a negative way.

I say live and let live- that is, after all, a Christian message- the same people that are against gay marriages...

I completely agree...who does it hurt? I actually think it strengthens family values!!!

I have a very good friend - both her aunt and uncle are gay...and they have beuatiful loving nurturing families...its just beautiful to see...

They are against gay marriage's b/c they believe you get married to procreate...plus, as you know, gay couples are sinners.

Seriously though, I don't see how 2 people loving one another and wanting to get married, undermines the sanctity of marriage.

Especially with divorce rates and shows like Joe Millionaire and Nick & Jessica.

I can't believe people come up with some of these comments in the 21st century...just think of some of the racist comments from the 50's and see where we have come!!!

1. they can procreate...just not with each other...and with so many children in orphanages? why not have them in a stable home environment???

2. I'm not Christian...so they are no sinners to me

I'm with ya Erika - on all accounts.

I think covering up for priests who raped children, is something these people should be concerning themselves with.
