Just out of curiosity, what is your plan for your ceremony? Are you having a judge, an interfaith minister, a rabbi and a priest, etc? If you have met with anyone you recommend, please let me know. I have a feeling this is going to become the hardest part of wedding planning!

Re: Interfaith Brides...
I am Catholic and my FH is Jewish. He would be perfectly happy to be married by a justice of the peace, but I really want to be married by a priest- even if it is only a blessing. I am not super-religious, but it is something that is important to me.
SO- since I want a priest, his mom wants a rabbi as well, which is fine. We will have an interfaith ceremony.
Other than that, I can't be of much help. I haven't spoken to any of my priests yet.... I guess I'm stalling. I know what you mean about this being the hard part...

Re: Interfaith Brides...
Just like 17sugars, I am Catholic and my FH is Jewish. We plan to have both a priest and a rabbi at our wedding, but we haven't begun looking yet. (We still have to settle on a reception location!) I'm glad to know there are some other interfaith brides here on LIW!

I'm peeking in on the '06 boards
my ceremony will be officiated by a Rabbi, but he's conducting the ceremony as justice of the peace.

Re: Interfaith Brides...
Only a Reform Rabbi might officiate in an interfaith ceremony and I dont know if they do that in the Catholic Church. You may have to have him sign a paper that will have him say he will raise your children in your faith in order for that to happen.

We are having a judge or justice of the peace, and are going to tie in our religions with a unity candle and the breaking of the glass.
