Any couples who had dealings with the Roman Catholic Church? My FH is Catholic and I am baptist and we wanted to know how much of a hassle it was dealing with the RC church being that we weren't both Catholic. Did they say flat out that they could not marry you, or did something have to be done?

Re: Interfaith Couples
I'm Catholic and FI is Jewish...it has been wonderful, easy and nice to deal with the Catholic Church. Our priest even went so far as to say that it's totally OK to bring the children up Jewish or any faith that we want, that it doesn't HAVE to be Catholic. (We already decided that we will bring children up Catholic, but we didn't even tell or have to tell the church that). There were zero hassels about FI not being Catholic.

Re: Interfaith Couples
I'm Catholic and my DH is Jewish and we had a great experience dealing with the Church. We went to interfaith precana and had both a priest and rabbi perform our ceremony.

Re: Interfaith Couples
I'm catholic and FI is jewish and we are having an interfaith minister perform the ceremony..since it's much easier and the ceremony is outside at the hall..
