Interfaith Rabbi

Interfaith Rabbi

We are looking for a rabbi on Long Island who would perform an interfaith wedding ceremony, and charges between $500 - $600. We heard about Cantor Harris Cohen.

Did anyone have this cantor perform their ceremony?

If so, what did he charge and did he also provide a ketubah?

How pleased were you with the service in terms of the quality, personalization, professionalism, and reliability?

Any feedback is much appreciated!

Thank you for any suggestions :)

I'm in the same boat - if anyone knows an interfaith Roman Catholic Priest AND a Rabbi who would be willing to perform an interfaith ceremony, I would appreciate the contact info! TIA!

Rabbi Block does interfaith weddings. He doesn't provide a ketubbah, but you can get one cheap at any judaica store (they also have expensive ones too)

We worked with Rabbi Roger Ross and out parish priest to doa BEAUTIFUL interfaith ceremony. We spoke with a few Rabbis and Rabbi Ross was expensive (I want to say $950) but he did a great job on our ceremony and worked closely with the priest.

I don't know of any Rabbis that include the Ketubah in their fee, but some have deals where you can get 10% off at I think mpartworks.com? We got ours from Ketubah.com.

ETA: I should add that oonly did he work with the priest and the chirch and perform the ceremony in church, but he also coordinated with our friend who is a Rabbi who canted the sheva brachot at the wedding

I used William McBride and his Wife Irene. They married us at the Swan club and they charged us $700 total.
She was a cantor and he was the catholic pastor. We did not get the ketubah so i am not sure about that.
Send me a message if you need the info and contact info

Re: Interfaith Rabbi

Just be careful getting married by someone who calls themselves a catholic priest or pastor but is marrying you outside the auspices of a church. Typically, to marry someone outside the faith, you need a special dispensation. you also need dispensation as well to get married outside of an actual church building.

If this person isn't filling out the diocesan paperwork and they're defected from the church, or part of a spinoff group, your marriage may not be recognized by the church. if you're a Catholic looking to get married, your first and best stop is your own parish.

We had a full interfaith ceremony (priest and rabbi) which was fully customized and went outside of the normal Catholic ceremony. It was all done in church and with the permission of the church. If your church won't do this, find one that will, or I can give you info for my church.

you will also have to go to Pre-Cana. we went to a special interfaith pre-cana and loved it

Can you FM me the info for your church/Priest? I'm meeting with my Pastor on Sunday to get the specifics, but he was just appointed as a Bishop (perfect timing!) and won't be at my parish for much longer. TIA!

I had Rabbi Marci Bellows (you have to both be named in the Jewish religion though),

I found Rabbi Frank Tamburello and Father David Grainson via interfaithfamily.com. I LOVE THEM!!!!!! They are both very sweet and willing to adjust a ceremony to whatever your needs are.

Rabbi Frank will give you a certificate ketubah if you like, or he has a discount for a website... think it gives like 10%
