Interfaith Weddings HELP

Interfaith Weddings HELP

OK - I do not know what to do about this - so any advice would be appreciated

We are having an interfaith ceremony - my FH is Jewish and I am Lutheran

Same situation with his BIL that just got married - the difference is they had a rabbi and a priest - we are have an interfaith rev.

So his BIL had the bridal party wear Yamacas (SP?)
and they also passed them around to all the men -

I am sorry but I do not think my family or the people in his bridal party have to wear them

I think by wearing them - makes it look like a Jewish Wedding not an Interfaith wedding -

I told FH that him and his brother should be the only ones wearing them (they are the only ones that are Jewish) and if his uncles and others want to wear them they should bring there own - I feel very strongly about this...am I wrong?

HOw does your honey feel about it? I am having an interfaith wedding and I don't think he minds either way. I am okay with it. We are not ordering as many as one would if it were a jewish ceremony though. Maybe you can compromise on maybe one of your traditions. Good Luck!

We bought enough for all the men, in case they wanted to wear one, but not even all the jewish men wore them. We didn't ask any of the men in my family that were in the procession to wear one since they were catholic.

I had a Catholic/Jewish ceremony. We had them in a basket at the entrance of the ceremony, so if people wanted to take one they could.

Also, in the BP only the jewish guys wore one.

Re: Interfaith Weddings HELP

We had to provide them ourselves. My FIL got them for us. I know he ordered them online, but I'm not which site. We have so many left over, if they didn't say our names and date inside, I'd give them to you.
