Does anyone know how this works? I'm Catholic and my FH is Jewish- we are meeting with a Rabbi and a Priest- I was wondering if they ask you how you are going to raise your kids and if they get mad at you if you say your not raising them either way! I'm scarreddd!! Or what other kinds of questions they ask..?

I dont think that they would get mad at you...but they may try and talk you into raising them one of the two and how imporant it is to have religion and faith in your life (just my guess)

You'll get through it.
FH and I were both raised Catholic but I'm not religious at all and wasn't really crazy about getting married in the church. I'm really doing it for FH because he thinks it's important. Before we met w/ the priest I was soooooooooooo nervous....it was really easy though. The priest was actually really cool and put me at ease right away.
GOOD LUCK!

Re: Interfaith Weddings + Pre cana
I am jewish and FH is catholic. The Rabbi will not ask you how you intend to raise your children but the priest will (and ours did). We went on a quest for rabbi's and priests who would even perform the ceremony. We are getting married at our RH and FH had to get special permission to marry me, to marry outside of the church, to not raise our children catholic, etc. The priest who is marrying us, asked that FH promise not to lose his religion, but never asked that he sign anything saying we will raise our children catholic.
We actually went to interfaith pre cana a few weeks ago and the monsignor who spoke to us did not say we had to raise our children catholic, he did ask that we agree to raise them in one religion, (not let the children choose). Coming from a jew, I did not feel any pressure. (which is nice, not be honest, i was very nervous).
Sorry for the babbling! HTH!

Re: Interfaith Weddings + Pre cana
My cousin is Catholic and her husband is Greek Orthodox. They went to Interfaith Precana and they were guided to choose to raise the kids with either religion. They were not pressured one way or the other. It was emphasized that faith is important no matter what.
