Interfatih Weddings

Interfatih Weddings

For those that had an interfaith wedding, did you have the ketubah? If so, did you have to see each other before the wedding? We arranged the whole wedding around not seeing each other before (even paying for an extended CH so we have enough time for pics!!!) and i would be really upset if it didnt work out, its the one detail i've been a stickler about so far!

Yes we are having a ketubbah. We are signing it before the ceremony then we are taking the bridal party pics. We only have a 4 hour reception including cocktail hour so we wanted to get the pics out of the way early. After the pics, based on the rabbi and reverend's suggestions we will not see each other for a half hour then start the ceremony. Usually the ketubbah is signed before the ceremony. Except, at my fiance's brothers wedding (also interfaith) the rabbi had them sign the ketubbah during the cermony, but this is the only time I saw this.

We are having an interfaith wedding but it is in a church so we aren't having a ketubah

We are having an interfaith wedding, and we are having a ketubah. We are not seeing eachother before the ceremony, so we are signing it during the ceremony itself.

I was going to sign my ketubah after the ceremony.

I really did not want to do the ketubah before....so we made it part of the ceremony. Here is the funny part of the story...I ordered it from the reform people, and paid for express shipping, and it never came.
So I DIY'ed it. I googled some Ketubah text and printed it out in a scroll font with a ornamental border, and that's what we signed!
