International Invitation Question

International Invitation Question

I have 4 international invitations to send. Are you having the post office figure out the return postage for the rsvp and prepaying that for international guests, or are you leaving that to be their responsibility?

Side note: FMIL gave me her final address list yesterday, and 5 mystery people popped up. And I am to have my beautiful invitations addressed to 'Yia Yia Voula' and 'Uncle Simos'. No titles. No last names. Just Yia Yia

Re: International Invitation Question

The post office told my mom NOT to pay the postage for the international invites- They said it had to be done in the country it was being mailed from. We had each invite weighted seperately but in the end I think they all cost the same. It was about a dollar more for the invites being sent international.

Re: International Invitation Question

I did not put any return postage on international invites because I already had an idea that most of them were not coming so I did not expect to get anything back anyway. Three of them surprisingly RSVPed and they all put their own postage on the envelope.

Re: International Invitation Question

I have a bunch of invites that went to canada and panama and I put the return postage on for them, and it was fine coming back. They didn't have to use their own country's postage or anything, they just put it in the mail and it came back here. HTH!
