International Postage for invites

International Postage for invites

Just want to double check because I remember reading this somewhere.

When I send over the invites to Europe for FH's family, I should bother to put the Postage on the RSVP envelope because their postage system is different there and they would need to put their own postage on.

Is this correct? i want to order the Forever Stamps now because I think they are going up in price soon.

TIA!

correct - if you're sending out of the country invitations, don't put a stamp on the RSVP envelopes unless you can get the stamps for that country.

That includes canada :-P

Also, make sure you weigh and stamp your invitations separately since they'll cost more to mail out.

I'm Canadian and I got canadian stamps for the response envelopes of my friends and family up there... If you can get postage from that country go for it, otherwise I'm pretty sure no one will blame you for not doing so!

my invitations cost 44 cents to mail out to the US ... they were just over a dollar ($1.08, i think) to mail out to canada or to israel. not sure about any other countries

It depends on how heavy, how big and where they're going to.

I think it cost a little over $3.00 to send my invites to Mexico but about $5 to send them to Australia!

Don't put stamps on the return envelopes - they can't use them. Most of my overseas relatives responded via email.
