Interview with Staffing Agency on Friday...

...to prepare me for an interview with a publisher on 3/24.

Stupid question: What do I wear to an interview with a staffing agency? Do I wear or suit or just nice clothes? I will wear a suit to the 'real' interview, but I am not sure if I should wear it to the agency, too. It has been a while since I have been to a staffing agency.

You can wear something less formal than a suit. Good luck.

I would say definitely wear a suit. No question about it.
If you feel unsure though, ask the agency directly...
But really, it doesn't hurt to always be looking your best. You want to give the best impression that you can. and if these people are going to help/represent you, you want them to think the best of you too.
If you only have one nice suit, noone is going to know that you wore it twice in a row. Any agency will tell you that.

Thank you. I guess I can just wear a different shell or shirt under it.

I have other suits at my parents' house, but I am not sure if any of them fit me. They are from 5 years ago (when I interviewed for my last job). They are classic suits and don't look dated, but they might not fit

Business casual to the agency but to the real interview wear a suit.

Wear a suit. Let them know that you are serious and that you are professional. If you cant find one that fits..go buy a new interviewing suit.

I am a recruitment manager for an agency.
Wear what you would wear to an interview for the type of place you want to work.
We actually use what people wear to see us as a tool to what type of job they would be a fit for. I would not send somebody to a ultra conservative 'blue suit' environment, if they showed up to see us in slacks. You can tell how corporate somebody wants to be by how they dress.
I guess it is the old adage, dress for the position you want.
