Interviewing DJ's- what to ask?

I've just set my first appointments to meet with a few potential DJ's. Any advice on particulars to ask about? I don't want to forget anything important, and all I can think is costs!
Any advice would be great!

ask them what their planning process is? How are in advance do they start planning? how do they keep track of what the important songs are? you want a DJ that is some what organized.

ask them what their policy is on drinking on the job is?

what is their dress code for setting up and event?

how far b/4 the event do they set up?

hope that helps

I also asked for testimonials - past brides and grooms who have used them.

some do the 'video montage' thing now, so ask about that

also, ask if you have 1 MC and 1 DJ, or more

If you want live music at the cocktail hour, ask what they offer

also .. sometimes they offer different 'lighting' .. some packages are more money

if you haven't done so already, try Bravura (bravuraentertainment.com). They are in Woodbury, ask to meet with Tony. They are all amazing and offer an 'ala carte' style of service, you chose what you want, and don't have things lumped into a package that you really don't want.

good luck!
