Are you walking in to the same song as your bridal party, or are you switching it for your entrance?
Curious what the norm is here.

Re: Intro to Reception
I thought of switching too. Except, I am so picky about what songs to use when, and I can't think of anything more fun to dance to than the song we're using for the bridal party, so I think I'll just stick to the same song. Besides, our parents are getting a different song, and then we're dancing to TWO songs for our first dance. That's enough switching for me.
I can't pick any more songs! But, I might change my mind if I hear something I really like. I have time - it's not until March 05.

Re: Intro to Reception
FH and i are HUGE 80's hairband lovers and true devoted Bon Jovi fans, so we are walking into Livin On a prayer.

Re: Intro to Reception
I always thought that I would switch songs. But I went to a wedding where they all used the same song (no words) and I thought it was fabulous. That is what I am going to do. I think it makes more sense to use different songs if you have a dj, but with a band I would probably stick with one. JMO

Re: Intro to Reception
I am playing one song for our entire bridal party and another 2 songs for our entrance. I don't know if any of you remember the movie 'Flash Gordon' but there is an electrical guitar instrumental version of 'Here comes the bride' . I want that to be playing as the MC invites all the guests to stand & greet the bridal party. Bridal Party: 'Unspeakable Joy'-Kim English and then for us we're going to have the DJ play 'I'm coming out' by Diana Ross and mix in Samba De Janero. {Very upbeat & exciting}
I have orchestrated my bridal entrance for a long time as you can see...

Re: Intro to Reception
we havent decided on the song for our entrance yet, but we met with the DJ last night and he suggested a song for the BP that has no lyrics..maybe even just a beat..this way everything can be heard and your not going from words into more words...then ours could be lyrics...
