Introduce yourself!!

I keep reading posts and it seems like everyone knows each other!! How?? I'm sort of new to the site...and I definitely don't know anyone...so I thought I'd start a post where we can get to know each other a little bit... In any case, I thought I'd introduce myself. I'm Emily, I'm 24, and I'm getting married in June to my fiance, Omri. We've been together for 11 years and we currently live in Huntington.

Hi! Welcome! I'm Rosanna and I am 28. I'm getting married to my fiance Anthony is May. We're both accountants; I work for an accounting firm and he works for a hedge fund firm. We've been together 3 1/2 years. I live in Queens and he lives in Brooklyn. We just bought our first home in Brooklyn.

Hi Emily... I'm Maria....alot of girls have been on these boards for a long time and some have gone to g2gs and met in person.... you can make some great friends on this site... welcome!

ETA: I'm gonna be 29 tomorrow, FH's name is Phil. I'm from the Bronx. He's from Staten ISland. I'm a school psychologist and he's a firefighter. We're getting Married in March at the end of a 1-year engagement. Only 5 months away!! YAY!!

I feel the same way... everyone is so close on here and always knows each others first names.... I don't know how they got there! I keep trying, but I still am a newbie even tho I broke 700 posts! LOL! I actually thought of starting a thread like this at one point!

I am christine, got engaged 7/22/09 and I am marrying Dan on 6/12/10 : ) I am an accountant and Dan is a cross between a finance guy and an IT guy (don't ask). we have a house in massapequa : )

I'm Celia and am the old lady of the board. I will be 47 on Nov 10. Fh is 45. We both live in Queens and we are getting married Sept 18, 2010. I have been a part of LIW since Oct 2008 and have gotten alot of tips from these girls here. They are the best!!!

Hi! I'm Jacquie. My fiance Mark and I have been together for 6 years and we're getting married next October. I'm pretty new to the site as well. We just got engaged in August. We have an apartment together in Mineola. I work for United Way of Long Island in the HIV/AIDS Grants Management Department as an Assistant Contract Administrator and Mark works as a Cytotechnologist for Sunrise Labs. :) I don't know what else to say!

Hi! I'm Jessica, I'm 26. My fiance is Ryan and we're getting married on August 14. We're both from Northport but currently I live in the city and Ryan is in Brooklyn. So far this website has been incredibly helpful!! Maybe eventually I'll get a pic up...

I am Theresa, I am also new to this website even though I have been engaged since the summer of 06. I am getting married to the most wonderful man in the world, Carlos on 7/17/10. I am a full time student and my fiancé works for a financial services company. We are High School Sweet Hearts and have been together for 6 ½ years. My fiancé was born in Portugal and came here when he was 4. It was important to us that we incorporate his culture into our wedding, so we decided to have our reception at the Portuguese American Center.

My name is Janice and I live in Hempstead. My FH lives in the Bronx. Of course we are getting married on June 6th, and we have been together for 3 years. I work as a planning specialist for printers and FH works as an environmental cop.

This is a great idea, Emily! I've been on a boards for awhile but don't really know everyone that well either!

I'm Rachel, 29 years old, and engaged to marry Adam on July 11, 2010! I work in consulting and we live in Manhattan. We will actually will be together exactly 2 years tomorrow (a Halloween one-night-stand turned into a lifetime )! We are both originally from LI--I am from North Massapequa and he is from Syosset!

I really hope to make it to a g2g one of these days!

Hi! I'm Alicia - I'll be 21 in 3 weeks, so I'm a youngin. My fiance Dom is 23 and a Graphic Designer who works for 2 magazines. I'm a student and I work at a supermarket as a bookkeeper/customer service rep and a pharmacy tech in a different store. We've been together almost 3 years but were best friends for 3 years before that, and we'll be getting married in just 2 1/2 months!

Hi all, for those of you who don't know me, my name is Elizabeth, I'm 29 - will be 30 in three weeks. My fiance Mike will also be 30 in three weeks (day before me). I'm a lawyer, he's a cop. Funny but true. We've been together over 7 years and have been engaged almost 7 months now. We're both from LI - i'm from garden city, he's from franklin square, where we live now.

Hi! I'm Katie. I'm 26, 27 in a month I'm marrying Chris almost exactly a year from when he proposed. We've been together 4.5 years. Both accountants. I'm from LI, he's from Rockland county. I currently live with him AND his parents so this is a true test of how much I love him.

Hi! I'm Nancy. I am not on the boards as much as I would like to be but I am starting to get back into the swing! The girls on here are awesome though and offer some great advice!

I am 28 and my fiance's name is Eric. We have been together over 3 years. He is a financial advisor and I am an adminisitrative assistant. We live together in Long Beach however we both grew up in Suffolk.

Hi Im Windy! Im 30... FH is Jimmy and he is 31. We have been together for about 6 years and we will (finally) be getting hitched on July 17th 2010. I am a HS teacher. We live togther for the last two years in Whitestone, Queens with our dog Pinot.

I'm Laura, I'm 27, and my FH Mike, is 29. We've been together for almost 10 years now (will be 10 in January), and we've been engaged since December 2008. We're getting married June 5, 2010. I'm a social worker full time, and a part time Weight Watchers leader. Mike is an internet marketing account manager.

I'm Jennifer, I turned 32 last Saturday, and I'm getting married to my best friend Jermain, 36 on Aug. 20, 2010. We've been together for 2 years, engaged for 1. I work in human resources at a health care center in the city and I'm also psychology student, getting ready for grad school (PhD). He's an optician.

I am Liz, age 33, FH is 41. I was born and raised in Queens but now live with my fiance in south Nassau county.I work as an attorney and FH works for a school district in Long Island in the IT Dept. I graduated from SUNY Binghamton and a local NY law school, and FH also graduated from SUNY Stonybrook with a BA and MA in Electrical Engineering. We' met in the summer of 2007 and got engaged a year later. We are getting married on Oct. 8th, 2010.
