Introducing Myself!

Hi ladies,

I am a new 2012 bride to be who is ALMOSTTTT engaged :)

DBF and I picked out the ring last weekend and I believe he is paying for it in the next week or so. I told him I still want the proposal to be a surprise, in some fashion. It's very exciting! We are thinking Sept or Oct of 2012 for our wedding, but have to start visiting venues to really get a better idea of price and timeline.

A little background on us: I work in HR at a large company on LI, and he is a NYC teacher. We met on Plentyoffish.com, hence my username. He probably will call me a 'huge dork' when I tell him the name I came up with, but whatever. lol

I look forward to getting to know you all!

Welcome Melissa!! I also met my FH on plenty of fish. We also picked out ring in Oct, booked our hall a month ago and I just got my ring last Friday. Good luck with planning and hope the ring comes soon =)

Congrats!!!!! I am in the same boat as you. The ring is sitting in my house somewhere and I am dying of impatience for the proposal. You will find this place seriously addicting.
