Invatations did you know.....

I did not knoe that if the Ceremony starts at 6pm you make the invitation say 5:30pm
Why didn't any one tell me this????

I've heard of some people doing it, but not everyone - it's not a rule or anything. We put the actual time on ours. I guess it depends on your guests.

some people put an earlier time - but you don't have to. I didn't.

I put the actual time as well.....don't get caught up in the time game...just put the real time.

We put half our early because we know our guests always end up coming late, everything starts late...

so we put 10:00am for the ceremony, hoping to start by 10:30am.

I think we are going to put 1/2hr before so they have time to arive and get comfy

I put a half an hour before, it was recommended by the hall. There has been debate on this topic- some people say its not fair to make your guests come early and wait around. My hall is having a little breakfast thing for the early people though, so I don't think its a big deal.

Our hall actually asked us not to put the 1/2 hour earlier on the invitation b/c they were worried that people would come too early. But, screw them! We put it knowing that our families are more likely to come late than early. Plus, nowadays if that's the norm then ppl will expect that the time is 1/2 hour early and come later. Our ceremony is only 1/2 hour and I was really worried that if people come late at all they'll miss the whole thing.
