Inviations
How soon before your wedding did you start to look for invitations? TIA

Because you will want samples, you will compare papers, fonts and companies, I say start looking as early as possible. Invitations were my biggest pain in the butt...I finally ended up doing my own (sort of)...so def start early because there are so many out there, but at the same time everything sort of looks the same...hope I made sense! Definitely work with a good vendor who can show you things in your taste range.
I started early. we booked the location february of last year and I started seriously looking for invites around july, and ordered them in november.
i just started looking and ordered them last week
i ordered them in DEC for a May wedding and started clipping ideas and pictures as soon as i started planning the wedding.
I started looking last fall but ordered them at the end of January for our July 4th wedding. As I'm a teacher will an extra heavy course load this semester (6 classes 5 on the college level) I needed the invites by Feb recess (I can't get wedding stuff done during a normal week) so I could put the ribbon on them and assemble them. We just finished this morning. We are sending them March 15 and our rsvp date is May 4th, two months before the wedding.
I've been looking on line for awhile but I actually started looking in stores about 2 months ago. I just made the decision in the beginning of February to hire someone who custom-makes invites. They'll be really at the beginning of April for my July wedding.
