Invisalign

Invisalign

Does anybody have this? I never had braces as a kid - and when my wisdom teeth grew in (had them taken out last year), my teeth are a little crooked.....would like them to be straightened before the wedding!!

Re: Invisalign

I finished my program with Invisalign right before my wedding last June.... I loved using them. You see the changes happen and it doen't take that long. They were so easy to use and I liked the idea that I could take them out to clean them or to eat. I always wanted to get braces but at this stage in my life metal ones were out of the question. Because the cost I wasn't going to do the invisalign either but thank God my insurance helped and my DH convinced me. I was so happy to have straight teeth for the wedding!!!! I never really smiled showing teeth before and now I don't hide it.

I am doing it now...but I did have braces in HS and my teeth shifted thanks to not wearing my reatainer..It is a lot of money but I think that its worth it.

You may not be a candidate if you have never had braces before...since Invisalign is for minor corrections.

My husband has them and his teeth went from CROOOOOKED to straight. It took about a year.

my teeth grew in perfect - however my bottom teeth shifted bc i waited too long to have my wisdom teeth removed, so they are all crowded and smushed together. I do not want to wear regular braces.

Problem is my insurance only covers braces for people under 19 (how stupid is that). I think im just going to call my dentist and ask him to refer me to someone.

Re: Invisalign

This was my problem. My tops were pretty much straight but my bottoms were overlapped and crowded (family trait). No problem with using the invisalign for that. I had 15 trays and changed them every 2 weeks, saw the doctor evey 8 weeks. Even if its just your bottoms you still need to use the trays for the top.... they were so easy to use and if I didn't tell someone I had them.... they didn't know until they saw my new smile !!!!
