so I went to an orthodontist tonight to see how much invisalign costs.... It ends up being much more than I thought. They do offer financing and 2 years no interest but payments would be about $275-$300 a month....He also told me 'old school' braces would cost the same amount. I'm trying to get out of debt and this basically would keep me stuck at where I am now if I paid what they are asking.
Can anyone share with me what they paid? I know there was a previous post but it might have been a while ago.
Can anyone recommend an Orthodontist preferably in Nassau (or close in Suffolk) that takes a payment plan or offers financing? Thanks in advance! You can FM me too ...

Re: Invisalign.... Help!!!!
I go to Mid Island Dental in Plainview, on the border of Hicksville to see Dr. Dalall. I finished and am getting my second revision. A revision is once you're done and it's not perfect, they retake molds and get you another bunch of sets. He's a perfectionist and we're allowed 3 revisions. I've been REALLY happy with the results. In the beginning it was a pain, but you get used to it.
He told me old school braces would take around the same amount of time too. They also offer Care Credit financing.
FMing price.

Re: Invisalign.... Help!!!!
Would you mind FMing the price you paid as well. I also inquired about invisalign and received a quote of 250 a month equalling out to 5500 total. Thanks in advance!

Re: Invisalign.... Help!!!!
I paid $5,500 plus i had to get two replacement trays I think that was about $200 each I lost one. And my dog chewed another one (don't ask long story)
I have to say that I was in a lot of pain. DH had them too and did not have any pain at all. My good friend had them and said that there was no pain for first 6 month and then she was in hell
also, the original treatment did not move all my teeth. I had to go on aditinal 6 month and they are still not perfect.

Re: Invisalign.... Help!!!!
I have heard from other people they cost about $5000-7000. They do work wonders, but so damn expensive and you have to pay the entire thing out of pocket.

Re: Invisalign.... Help!!!!
My bottom teeth were VERY crooked. They are in much better shape. I am on my 2nd revision and we can have 3 (w no add'l cost).
The only painful time was the first tray..taking them out took some getting used to bc of one of the buttons I had. Once I figured out how to maneuver it, it was better. I've seen drastic results and am extremely happy. I did pay alot, but it was so worth it. I loved the dentist when I met him and got a good vibe. He also showed me some before and afters which helped.

I also looked into invisaligns and my insurance denied me. I asked what it would cost out of pocket and they told me $6,000, which is not an option. I asked them about a retainer that also works to close spaces around the teeth (forgot the name) but it's $350. If what you want to correct is very minor than that might be an option for you. I go this weekend to see if I can get them and can let you know the details.
