Invitation addressing

Invitation addressing

hi girls... please help!
My FH and I have been friends with one girl since we were in high school. We know her bf (of 5 years), but we don't hang out with him often or without her. Therefore, he is an aquaintence, not a good friend. Do we address the invitation to her and guest? Do we send them both their own invitation? Or do we send an invite to her house with both of their names on it (they do NOT live together)?

Thanks so much..

Official ettiquite says that you are suppose to find out the guest's name and send them a seperate invite. I decided that it was modern times (and too much work)...so I am sending invites with both names to the same address. (ie. I would send the invite to your friend with her bf's name on it too). If I don't know their significant other's name or who they would bring, I am writing 'and guest'.

I agree, by brother and SIL worded my invitation to me and my bf at the time (FH) but mailed it to my address. We plan on doing this as well for our friends.

That's what we plan to do. Especially in a situation where they've been dating for a few years.

Re: Invitation addressing

i read if it is just an aquaintence you are not required to write their name and 'guest' is enough. I got an invite last year to my friends wedding and fh and i have been together for 6 years (at the time) and it was addressed to me and guest.
