I have a weird situation and I can't seem to find the correct etiquette for it...
A friend of mine is getting married 1 month before me, so at the time that she receives my invitation and RSVPs to it, she will NOT yet be married.
How should I address the envelope: Ms. Mary Jones Dr. John Smith
OR
The Soon-to-Be Dr. and Mrs. John Smith
Thanks!!

i don't know the proper etiquette but i would say to address it to her current name since that's what it will be at the time she receives it.

yes, i agree....
i've had wedding invites addressed to FH's name....it really never bothered me! i'm sure whoever receives it will just be excited for your wedding and won't even think twice about the etiquette

I agree.
We had a couple who is getting married very soon and we addressed it with their current name.
Also...we got their invite last week and it was addressed to us as Mr. Joseph ... & Ms. Anna ... So in the respinse card I wrote our names like that but wrote a little note to the bride that we will be Mr. & Mrs. for their wedding I just felt weird writing Mr. & Mrs. since we aren't yet.

Re: Invitation Addressing Question...please help
FH's cousin is getting married next month, so we put her maiden name and his name. If they come to the wedding, we will address the seating as mr and mrs.

I am in the same situation with 2 of my cousins. One is getting married in July ( I week after my invites go out) and the other the weekend before my wedding.
I am planning on their invites in their maiden name but seating, ect. in their married names
