Re: Invitation Assembly Please Help!!

make sure you put all that stuff on top of your invitation and if you are doing the tissue paper it goes over the wording of the invitation with all the inserts on top

Re: Invitation Assembly Please Help!!

Here's how I did them: (I have a square invitation)

Behind the invitation, I placed the direction cards. They were hotel, church, hall (bottom to top). The church and the hotel direction cards were of similar size and the reception card was slightly smaller so that's why I chose that order.

On top of the invitation, I placed the response card (tucked under the envelope) and then the reception card (bottom to top). I placed the tissue paper over the wording on the invite (between the invite and the response card envelope).

Placed all of this in the inner envelope.

I heard that if your direction cards aren't of formal style (matching your invite) they should go behind the invite.

Not sure if it is 100% the 'etiquette' but I thought it looked the nicest.

Re: Invitation Assembly Please Help!!

yes, PLEASE listen to Tammy Jill! I was so anxious to put my invites together I didn't ask. My direction card got black ink on my invites, I was heartbroken, really! Put the tissue on top of the invite, and then everything else goes ON TOP of the invite, not inside like silly me did. The stuff goes in size order on top from largest closest to the invite to smallest on the very top. I found this out too late! When I saw my invite on someones fridge with black ink on it, I cried, for real!
