Re: invitation components

So, i'm actually in the same boat and just spoke to my invitation person as well about this. since i am planning to include accommodation information on the STD, i'm excluding from the invitation. what i will do when invitations are sent is send a separate email to guests about the room block.

I am doing letterpress invitations so I know your pain. I am doing the actual invitation only as letterpress and having my RSVP and direction card printed separately. RSVP card is coming back to me and certainly doesn't need be letterpress and I've sent my direction card from RH to see if my invitation contact thinks i should include that or print separately (not letterpress but matching RSVP card).

i def wont think you need to include a reception card...we didnt. i would put the hotel info on the direction card if possible just to eliminate any phonecalls from guests wondering where to stay. some people arent organized or dont realize to check out the website

i was thinking of emailing about the hotel as well, since most of our hotel guests will be our friends. so we'll either tell them in person as the time nears or send a reminder email to visit our website. the only older, less tech savvy people staying at the hotel will be our immediate families, who will know the details anyway.

the direction cards we get from the RH, so i don't think i can add a note to visit our website. i'm assuming they're pre-printed but i'll double check with the RH.

for your rsvp and direction cards, are you trying to get the same paper to print on as you're using for the letterpress invites?

it's similar in color to the invites and thicker stock but not the same paper. it's considered letterpress paper but nowhere near the thickness. it's also nearly 1/3 the cost of having the letterpress rsvps.

That is what I did, just the invite, response and directions, and it was perfect!
