invitation costs

How much do you think is average to spend on invitations? The ones I love are about $700, is that too much?

i spent $280 on 50 invites.

We spent approx $240 for 100 invites - extra envelopes too, etc.

We spent $1000 for 100 probably a little too high, but you know what they say hindsight is 20/20. No regrets though.

It depends on what you're getting, so I would go more with the price PER invitation rather than overall cost. This way, it's easier to compare prices. $700 sounds like a good amount to spend (not to much at all ) -- as long as you aren't only getting 50 invites for that much! Good luck!

ETA: I spent about $1500 or so for 100 letterpressed invites, including calligraphy. Without calligraphy, I think it was somewhere between $1100-1200.

$100 for 125 Anne Griffin invites from Michaels. What a pain in the a$$ they were, but it was well worth it in the end. I saved a lot and got a lot of compliments on them.

$1,600 on 200 letterpress invites. My caligraphy was free from a friend of the family.

ETS: $8 per invite set (large size invite, inner lined envelope, outter unlied with return address envelope, response card, response envelope with address, and direction card all letterpress by William Arthur).

I paid a little more than average- about 1,500 for 175 invites by Encore

OMG I cant see spending over 1000 for invites, 600 was pushing it for me, most people just toss them. Can you guys that spent over 1k post them ? Im curious to see what they look like? thanks

I just ordered mine and they were $1500 for 150 invites. I was kind hoping to spend that amount including postage and calligraphy but I really love the invites I found.
