Invitation Costs- SERIOUSLY?!! - Long Island Weddings

I am doing DIY invitations from Michaels, using the Brides/Gartner studios collection. They are very reasonable. You can check them out online, link is below. I am using the 'white waves' embossed invitations. With michaels 40% off coupons the cost is very low!

hesawsparks on etsy- she sells all PDFs for invites and will send them back and forth until the wording is perfect.. it was sososo simple really... I paid just over $2 an invite WITH postage! lol

I got 350 sheets of metallic paper from thepapermillstore.com for like $40 (aspire petallics- comes in a ton of colors, I did the beargrass color. They sell the matching RSVP and reg. envelopes too) and printed them on the laser printers at my school. Then I used a paper cutter and and basically cut on the lines that the seller had on the PDF. Then depending on if you are doing pocketfolds or not, you can buy gluedots and assemble them.

If you just want regular invites, then it's even easier- just buy a PDF that looks nice, print them at a place where you know there are laser printers (free) or bring them to a kinko's and pay to get them printed, and cut them yourself with a paper cutter!

Thank you SO much that's super helpful! I have a laser printer with the toners, but everytime I print on card stock it comes out curved, not flat.. trying to figure out how to fix that!

the paper I got for my invites wasn't too thick, so it fed through the printer really well.. some cardstocks are too heavy for the printers, but the one I got worked really well!

I used vistaprint and was happy with the invites. Try to get a groupon or living social deal.

Try E*v*e*nst*ar P*aPe*rie (search for it without the asterisks...LIW blocks it.)

I used invitationsbydawn.com, got 175 invitations with everything printed on the envelopes for under $500. It's a simple invitation but still looks nice.

I ordered so I can give you my whole low down.. I uploaded my invite and response card to Vistaprint.. I am getting 150 invites response cards, envelopes, extra envelopes, and 240 return address labels adn I spent 82 bucks and will have them in 14 days. This was after a groupon for $15 dollars for $45 dollars of merch and a retailmenot for 50%.. I did order ten invites first to make sure I was happy with printing adn that cost i think 20 for ten invites and response cards= my 150 business card inserts for bus info for reception and some return address labels.

I wanted to go with Vistaprint like most of you but i haven't seen an invitation that i fell in love with. Which ones did you guys end up using? I am gonna have to pick one because their prices are right! My theme is double heart but the only double heart invitation on they have is so plain and boring!

I found an invite I like on another site and my friend was able to manipulate it to a file and put in my info and then uploaded to Vistaprint so I could order.

I got our invites from Wedding Paper Divas. It was the 'Modish Marriage' design and we got 60 invites (upgraded to the shimmer paper), 60 rsvp cards (also shimmer) with 10 extra envelopes each (they put the return address on my rsvp envelopes), plus pearl lined inner envelopes for $207 after tax and shipping. I broke the order into 2 parts so that I could use a Gilt City $200 voucher (that I paid $100 for) on the invites and use a 20% off + free shipping coupon code on the RSVP cards. I feel like we got a great deal and I love our invitations!

Invitation Costs- SERIOUSLY?!! - Long Island Weddings

Got 100 invitations with RVSP and envelopes for both from AC Moore. We had a 55% off coupon per person, and each bought one package. We just got while ones with butterflies on them but they have other styles. We will go to the website connected with the invites and choose they wording and style and print them ourselves.

Good luck and Congrats
