INVITATION CRISIS- PLEASE HELP!!!

I need to mail out my invitations this weekend (they were supposed to be mailed last weekend) and I cannot get my addresses to print out on my printer!!! It's too late to hire someone to print them or get a calligrapher and I don't want labels. Either the printing comes out uncentered on the page or the ink smudges, or both. I have Cranes Lettra letterpress envelopes and I even bought a new printer today in hopes of that working!!! I have tried using the envelope section of word, regular word, and powerpoint. I adjusted the paper and margin sizes and it just won't work. I am freaking out!!!! Ladies who have printed out their own envelopes...help!!!!! please!!! i thought this would be an easy task

That totally stinks. What printer are you using?

I just did mine this weekend. Did you customize the properties for your print settings?

Re: INVITATION CRISIS- PLEASE HELP!!!

I printed my envelopes in word. I resized the paper to the envelope size and just centered the names. I used the rear feed of the printer and changed it to an envelope (otherwise for regular paper there was a smudge).

I am not familiar with the type of envelope you have but you should find out if you need a laser or inkjet printer with these envelopes. The woman who did my invitations asked me this question prior to sending me the envelopes.

I used these videos. They really helped me. I did a mail merge from an excel spreadsheet. Took me about 1 hour to figure it out. Then I printed the envelopes out one by one. I noticed if i did more than one the paper would go in weird and the addresses would come out not centered. I also put our return address as the header. I used palace script font.

I can e-mail you the template I used to print my envelopes. Are you feeding them manually or putting them in the letter tray?

We used word and then just changed the font and spacing. We did have to do one envelope at a time. It took us quite a few times to get the spacing right.
