What if you have the RSVP card have a line that says No. of Guests and you can fill in the # accordingly. Otherwise Id say just go w/ another invite.

Re: Invitation Dilemma
I really don't think it makes a difference. People are so excited to get an invitation they hardly even pay attention to the envelope its the invite that they want to see!! ( well at least I am that way!) I have seen that invitation in person and I have to say it is REALLY nice!!! Even better in person then the picture. We did scroll invitations so they were mailed in tubes, so basically I had no choice but to put ' and guest' on the outside. It didn't bother me 1 bit. And I have a lot of really snobby relatives that didn't say a peep about it

Re: Invitation Dilemma
I don't know what the big deal is about putting 'and Guest' on the outside envelope. We had inside envelopes which we left blank and put all names on the outside envelope. One of my friends (another poster on here) told me she ran into some problems because of the writing on the inside envelope with people not noticing who was invited on the inside and getting confused and pissy. She said it ended up being such a pain that we just skipped that.

Re: Invitation Dilemma
I don't think it matters if you have an inner envelope or not. I love the invites and think that they are beautiful. I don't think people will even notice... they'll be so excited to get your invite!

Re: Invitation Dilemma
it's true...most more expensive invitations no longer come with inner envelopes. Mine didn't either. Actually, the last few invitations that I have received didn't have an inside envelope. I prefer it. We're putting and guest on the envelope, and I really don't see what the big deal is.

I don't think it matters to go without the inside envelope. If you love it you should go with it.

Re: Invitation Dilemma
I think your invites are beautiful and you shouldn't worry about the inner envelopes. When I ordered my invitations I asked to exclude the inner envelopes (saves on postage, due to weight) but they gave them to me anyway.

I don't think it matters either. I had the same problem because mine are also encore. Atleast people will know right away when they get the invitation who is invited Your invitations are really pretty and I feel that if you like them you should order them!

Re: Invitation Dilemma
I put 'and Guest' on the outside (only one envelope) so I don't see what the issue is.

Re: Invitation Dilemma
Think of it this way, with the money you're paying for the invites (and those are pricey!), you'll save on calligraphy by not having to do inner/outer. Inner is really for the olden days when letters were hand delivered...the envelope should reach your guests in great shape!

Re: Invitation Dilemma
A lot of invitations do not come with an inner envelope anymore. I didn't have an inner envelopes and it was fine.
I've been to about 10 weddings since my own and I would say I prefer invites without the inner envelope, less work, less confusion. Actually I always wondered why there was an inner envelope anyway so when my invites did not come w/ inner envelopes I was like 'OK great'.
