What color did you use for printing addresses on your envelopes? for return address? for reply envelope address? My invite is in Dark Blue and light pink, so it has dark blue text....but my mom read that formal invites have the address in black? We're DIYing and printing the addresses in a calligraphy-looking font on our own, so we can really make it anything....

I had my text (all of it- invitation and wording and such) in purple so we did purple computer calligraphy and it looked so great!
Everyone was raving about how great it looked and all... I can't keep smiling about it.

We did black and green for all of our invitation stuff and the envelope return and mailing address are in green.
you can not use a light color other then that anything goes.

hmmm so you both did color? I was thinking black for the outer envelope address would look more like a calligrapher did it.....hmm.....but maybe it would be cool with all blue.....any more thoughts? how about pics of it in color?

Calligraphers will do it in any color you request.

Our calligraphy on our invitation is Gold and that is the same color we are using for the envelopes!

I would do dark blue.... I think that would go with your invite and still be dark enough for the mail

i haven't noticed the color of the ink on the outside or inside envelopes of invitations. i'd like to think that i'm pretty average, so i wouldn't stress out too much about the color of the ink as long as it's dark enough so it can be read easily.
