I haven't designed mine yet, but as a graphic designer, I'd use about 14-16 point size for the address, and a nice readable font..It can be fancy but make sure it is easily readable for the postman...hope that helps!

Do you print your return address in the top left corner??

it usually goes on the back flap.

return address on the back flap - it sort of depends on the size of your envelope which font size you use. My envelopes were 7 x 5 and I used size 18 pitch (if the address was 4 lines, 20 pitch if it was 3 lines) Monotype Corsiva. i was happy with how they came out - simple but nice. good luck
