OKay, here is my question-my parents are paying for most of the wedding, FH's mom lives in El Salvador and is not paying for anything. However, I would like to put both of our parent's names on the invitation, I really want to include his family in as much as possible. Is this not the right thing or does it really matter? My parents definitely will not care, but I don't want to do the 'wrong' thing

Re: Invitation etiquette?
you can put: your parents name - request the honour of presence at the marriage of their daughter your name to Fi's name son of and his parents name date place it does not look like they Il's are throwing it then

Re: Invitation etiquette?
My IL's didn't pay for anything but, I still included them on the invitation.

This is exactly what I would suggest. I think it's great that your parents are so understanding.

I agree completely with snowprincess805's suggested wording. I plan to use it myself on my invites.

Re: Invitation etiquette?
I dont think it matters who is paying for the wedding anymore. Just list them the way it will make you feel comfortable.

Re: Invitation etiquette?
I think that is very generous of you! My inlaws aren't paying for anything except the RD and I am not including them on the wedding invitation. I might put my parents request the honor of your presence.....son of and his parents names, but I haven't decided yet. Did that make sense? lol
