Need your opinion with guest envelope addresses. My sister says it's impersonal to have them typed, to do calligraphy. I know calligraphy and can do it, but I don't feel like writing all the addresses...Which do you think looks more formal and personal? typed or calligraphied?

Definitely calligraphy. I've never seen a formal invitation that was typed

Re: Invitation help...
I am having my printed in a nice script! I got a few invitations these past few month and they were all printed in nice script and soo beautiful! Why do all that when all you have to do is print them out and they are still so so nice. And to be honest with you I cant remember any other invitations I got before these if they were typed or calligraphy.. so it really doesnt matter!

Re: Invitation help...
It used to be etiquette to hand write them or hire a calligrapher. Thses days it is not uncommon to have them printed.

I printed mine on the computer-just used a really nice font. Truthfully, no one really pays attention to whether its really calligraphed or printed-thats just my opinion

I like the way calligraphy looks, but IMO your hand is going to fall off after doing them all. My MatOH did hers and by the last 10-15 she had a hard time with her hand hurting so much. I did labels with a really pretty script that matched the return address. I have gotten lots of compliments on them so far!
