Invitation HELP!!!

Ok. My finance and I are paying for our wedding, but we wanted to include their names! Look at the sample I got! Do you think it should say request the honour of your presence at OUR marriage or at THEIR marriage. Before that line I put Children of Mr & Mrs _____.

Thanks so much girls!!!

Re: Invitation HELP!!!

The way it's written now, it should be at THEIR wedding.....because it's written in the 3rd person.

If you want to change it to OUR, then it should read:

WE,
Trisha ____ and Danny ___
Children of _____

Request the honour of your prescence at OUR marriage.

Make sense?

Dalito322 - Thank you so much! It gets so confusing! Yea we like it the way it is, but I kept reading it over and Im like I think it should be THEIR. Other people said it should read OUR. But I will take your advice.

Thank you so much!!!

Re: Invitation HELP!!!

So if we wanted it to read OUR.. would you still put the quote on the top? This Day I will marry my best friend?

Oh definitely, I like the quote there! It's almost like a heading, separate from the actual inviting part.

I know, it's so confusing.....When we put ours together I did the same thing at first, and when I was on the phone with the invitation company, they're the ones that actually pointed out the correct grammar.

Glad I could help!!
